The nearly 100 km ride took us from British Columbia across the border into Alberta. While BC is an absolutely, beautiful province we were happy to see the Alberta border crossing with the knowledge that the significant elevation gains in BC were behind us. We had expectations of some challenging climbs through the Crowsnest Pass but in the end were pleasantly surprised. The ride was rolling and elevation gains were mainly 1-2%. This made for a very pleasant ride. We stopped in Coleman, Alberta for lunch and Deb and Maggie were close by and able to join us. If you are ever passing through Coleman, Alberta around lunch of dinner we would highly recommend the Rum Runner Restaurant and Bar. They have a covered patio that is dog friendly and great food.
When we arrived at our campsite we were located right on the river. Great site, nice view and a breeze. Only problem, somehow we managed to lock all six keys that would get us into the RV inside. CAA to the rescue and we only had to wait 20 minutes for the service man to arrive. THANK YOU CAA.
