Back to Fall

At least it feels like a late autumn day.  Today we need to put the heat on in the RV as we awake to low single digit temperatures and once again strong winds.  Today the temperature is predicted to only rise to about 14 degrees and that won’t happen until 5 p.m.  So once again, we decide to make a later start awaiting the temperatures to rise to at least double digits.

Today it looks like a good part, perhaps all of the day will be on the road.  A secondary road that runs parallel to the Trans-Canada, which we hope, will mean only local traffic for us and we hope a paved shoulder.

Open road

Once again, a roadside pick-up. The only difference this time it is David with a flat.

Tubes vs. Tubeless

2-1

We drive into Grand Falls and while we are having lunch, David gets a tube put into his tubeless tire.  On to the campground.  The temperature has reached the high for the day and the sun is shining.  Once camp is set up, we enjoy a bit of time outside with a glass of wine.

Grand Falls

Tomorrow looks like a very similar cycling day, along a secondary, quiet highway. The weather however is better no chance of rain, less wind and 19 degrees.  Hard to beat.  One difference is we know that there is a significant hill not far ahead.
