We are able to cycle right out of the parking lot at the campground and the Komoot app directs us through the city and on to yet another paved path. This path lasts for over 20 km before ending on highway 132. While not as nice as the paved path the highway at least has a wide (4-5 foot) paved shoulder and since it is a secondary road isn’t that busy. After about 25 km we come across a great little café. Time for a snack and a coffee.

The destination today is somewhere between Montmagny and I’slet. The route follows 132 but every time we come to a small community they direct us off the highway and into town. The villages all have a massive church, beautiful old homes many with plaques explaining the history of the town or a particular home. The area was first settled in the mid 1600’s. There is a real sense of pride in both the homes and the communities. Well maintained house and grounds, no litter. Today must be wash day I can’t remember ever seeing so much laundry hanging to dry on the line. It is like stepping back in time.
