Sudbury to Deep River

Over multiple days, we make our way from Sudbury to Deep River.  The section with the greatest hills lies between Mattawa and Deep River.   In one campground near Mattawa we are the only people that checked in all day.  We end up sharing the park with the manager and two seasonal residents.  Great showers.  Extremely nice site (see photos) right on the lake but the bugs are the worst we have experienced on the entire trip so far.  Must be that the weather has warmed up a bit and the bugs like us are desperate to get out and enjoy the sunshine.  For us it meant that we are locked in the RV for the duration.

Like our first segment across Canada in 2022 we once again have plumbing issues, our toilet is plugged and that becomes our focus.

On to Deep River and our nicest campground to date.  Tiny Village, is situated on the Ottawa River.  It covers 59 acres with a combination of seasonal tenants, transient RVers and tenters.  Nice sandy beach, several trails and recently built showers and washrooms.  The facility includes several tiny homes (sleep 6) right on the beach and geodesic domes (sleep 4) in the midst of the forest that can be rented by the night.

The bugs are far less here and we all get a chance to spend a bit of time outdoors just sitting and relaxing.  We take Maggie on a few longer walks down to the beach, which you can tell she obviously enjoys, lots to sniff.
